| dc.description.abstract | Sultan Abdul Hamid II, a figure of enduring interest, remains the subject of extensive scholarly studies and discussions even after his death in 1918. This research explores his significance in the Zionist issue, drawing on important Turkish sources, including his memoirs. Sultan Abdul Hamid II's refusal to allow Jewish settlement in Palestine, his preservation of Jerusalem's identity, and his steadfastness in the face of financial incentives demonstrated his commitment to defending Muslim interests. This study sheds light on the complexities of the late 19th-century Zionist movement and its implications, contributing to a deeper understanding of this historical period.
